A representative of OAO Severneftegazprom (owned by OAO Gazprom and subsidiaries of E.ON Ruhrgas AG and BASF AG) has informed us that there have been an increasing number of frauds in which Severneftegazprom’s banking details were used in fictitious transactions on the international oil and gas market. The company warns of Internet and email scams offering oil and gas for sale supposedly by Severneftegazprom.
In order to safeguard Severneftegazprom’s reputation and prevent further criminal machinations, the company's management wishes to inform its business partners that the company does not sell hydrocarbons on the free market and does not export them.
